Meet the Family

Trisha and Door started the way our favorite family memories do, at bedtime.

We're just a family of three doing our best to build a good life together. We don't have it all figured out. We work hard, laugh a lot, tackle projects around the house, and try to spend as much time together as we can.

Somewhere along the way, bedtime stories became books.

I'm the one helping steer the ship. Most stories start with something real—a funny moment, a memory, an inside joke—and my job is to help shape the adventure without taking away the magic.

My daughter is the heart of Trisha and Door. She picks the stories, takes them somewhere I never would, and gives them that wonderfully imperfect kid logic. I never want these stories to feel like work, so they happen on her schedule, not mine.

Ginny is the dreamer. Where I'm focused on the details and execution, she's the one who sees what something could become. She believed these stories were worth sharing long before I did.

Every Trisha and Door adventure starts with a real piece of our lives. Some come from my childhood. Some from grandparents or siblings. Some from everyday moments that become unforgettable just because we were together.

We hope the stories make you laugh. We hope they remind you what it feels like to be a kid. More than anything, we hope they nudge you toward a few more inside jokes and bedtime giggles with your own family.
